« FANTASTIC CHAIR »

This Transport chair is very light weight. I can easily lift up with one arm and place in the trunk of my car. Has totally made transporting my 95 year old father to doctor's appointments, outings, and restaurant a breeze. You will not regret purchasing this chair.

Medline Freedom Chair, Red I bought this chair a couple of months ago for my mom. It's a very good chair for its price. It's comfortable and light. I recommend it.

« Lightweight »

I purchased this chair for a friend who has trouble walking. Regular wheelchairs are too heavy for a lot of people to load into the car. This is very lightweight, even my mom can handle it easily. It is great for going to doctors appointments or even out to lunch. It works best inside and on level surfaces. It is just what we wanted. Also, I had a problem with one of the footrests not adjusting. Medline replaced them immediately and sent a return postage label so I could send the old ones back.

« Portable, good quality; not robust enough for rough roads »

Overall this didn't disappoint me. It fits nicely in my sedan's (toyota avalon) trunk along with my kid's stroller. It's light weight and has good quality parts.

The only negative is the vibrations on a rough road may be too inconvenient to rider. Also this cannot take any small hiccup on the road and has the potential risk of the person falling over - due to its small size of tires. So we should be very cautionary about such stuff on pavement. I think this is what you are trading to get portability.

« Hallelujah - I can lift this one! »

This transport chair is the lightest I've found on the market! I originally bought a steel transport chair (28 #) and couldn't even lift it out of the box so I returned it! I'm so thankful to have something lightweight and this Medline Freedom Transport chair is it! I plan on leaving it in the car and using it to transport a patient from car to drs office, storefront (where there are motorized carts), etc. Thank you Medline for making a product safe enough yet light enough for the not-so-strong! Oh yeah, I love the burgundy color, too.
