« The Perfect Shoe. Never Buying A Different Shoe Again! »

These are the perfect shoe.

I bought my first pair of 992s 3 years ago. I wore them every day for 18 months, and then came back for a new pair which were the 993s by then.

They are a classy and modest workout shoe that has much to offer in specific foot shape/sizes. They are lightweight and snug. I have put a lot of miles on these shoes blazing trails and have never gotten blisters or corns. Not a single complaint from my feet on these shoes even after miles and miles, and thousands of feet (altitude).

I bought them because they are such a perfect casual sneaker. I get compliments and questions on these shoes. When it was time for me to buy the most recent pair, I actually had a hard time finding them. So I started thinking I could just settle for something close. I went to about 6 different shoe stores before I realized how one-of-a-kind these shoes are. There isn't even anything close! I ended up having to go to the New Balance store in downtown Portland but at least they were tax free, and the staff was nice and totally helpful. Actually, I left the store with the wrong size. I went to another New Balance store hundreds of miles away a couple days later and they exchanged them for the correct size without questions.

Point is, to people who know, these shoes are WORTH an all-day event, and a road-trip if needed.

I'm telling you. I am never buying a different shoe for the rest of my life.

The shoe itself is light weight but rugged, reflective and good looking. I like the wide sizes and find it comfortable. The service (I understand is from "Road Runner Sports") was all that can be expected (as has been all my shopping experiences on amazon.com). I went for the free shipping and my shoes arrived ahead of schedule and for the price quoted. Overall I am a very satisfied customer.

I wore this shoe (or predecessors) for years and somehow quit. Just bought a pair (and quickly ordered 2 more) because I forgot how well it fit. I have a narrow fit and need the stability. I will not make the same mistake again. This shoe is for me.New Balance Men's MR993 Running Shoe
